Colour breaks across the whole surface in interlocking forms, black and white cutting between them so the brights read all the sharper against the dark. Green, purple, blue and magenta run together, edged everywhere with fine lines where the pigment separated hardest — dense lace-like cells gathering through the busiest passages. There is little resting ground; the flow fills the canvas edge to edge, one form giving way to the next. The eye is left to move through it rather than settle.
